The Audience Won't Like It

About the Show

The Audience Won't Like It is a pop-culture podcast hosted by Rob and Leslie — a married couple who talk about music, film, TV, books, games, and comedy, and end every episode with an acoustic cover of a song.

The concept is simple: imagine you're waiting in line for a concert. The headliner doesn't go on for a while, so you're just talking — about the last thing you watched, something you read, a song you can't stop thinking about. That's the show. The "concert you're waiting for" is always a main topic or featured artist, and the small talk fills the rest.

It's also, honestly, a work date. Rob has a restless creative streak and a lot running through his head at any given time; the show is an outlet for that, and an excuse to keep getting better — at music, at audio and video production, at actually finishing things. Leslie is there to keep it honest and occasionally be completely right when Rob is completely wrong.

About This Site

The back catalog has a lot in it — and finding a specific moment used to mean scrubbing through a two-hour video. This site fixes that. Every artist, film, book, TV show, and more mentioned across all episodes is indexed here, with a direct link (and inline player) to the moment it came up in the conversation.

Use the browse pages to explore by category, or search within any page to find something specific. Click any row to watch that moment without leaving the site.
